How to Register

Register for CGE Classes Online via the My Fresno State Portal

What you will need:

  1. Create ID Number here (link opens in new window).
  2. Click on the [New Students] button.
  3. Enter all your information correctly.
  4. Double-check your information.
  5. Click the [Continue] button.
  6. Select the Program to Enroll and Term.
  7. Click the [Submit] button.
  8. Registration Successful!
  9. Write down your Student ID.  This will be your Student ID number for your entire career at Fresno State.
  10. Click on the “Get Email Account” to create your own Fresno State Email Account.  You will need this to log into the My Fresno State portal to enroll in classes.
  11. After you have created your email account, click the [My Fresno State Portal] button to login and enroll in classes.

  1. Go to googleapps.fresnostate.edu/signup/
  2. Enter your student ID number and your date of birth. Click [Continue]. If you receive an error message, please contact the Technology Service Desk at 559.278.5000
  3. Please select a new username, secret question, and answer and password. Once complete, click [Create Account]. Passwords must be between 8 and 32 characters long for improved security. Remember that it is case sensitive as well.
  4. If your account was created successfully, you can now use your Fresno state Gmail account to login to My Fresno State and Canvas.
  5. Please remember to check your Fresno State email account for additional information about your course. 

  1. Login to the My Fresno State Portal
  2. Click on "Student Self Service”.
  3. Click on the first green arrow for My Academic Records & Registration.
  4. Click the “other academic…” box.
  5. Click the “ContinGlobalEd Class” selection
  6. Click the double arrow “Go” button next to the selection.
  7. Enter your Program to Enroll
  8. Select Undergraduate if you do not have a bachelor’s degree.
  9. Select Postbac if you do have a bachelor’s degree.
  10. Enter the Term you want to enroll in classes.
  11. Click the [Submit] button.
  12. Click the [Enroll in Classes] button to start enrolling in classes.
