Community and Economic Development at Fresno State
Established in August 2000, the Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED)
at Fresno State, is dedicated to fostering economic development, education, and equity
across the San Joaquin Valley. OCED’s mission lies in amplifying the voices of residents
and overall communities within our valley in order to improve lives and create meaningful
regional impact. Through its newly transitioned adoption under the Division of Continuing
and Global Education, OCED is also now more than ever committed to connecting the
university to our eight county region.
Additionally, in its 25 year history, OCED’s collaboration with partners both in the
public and private sector have further promoted strategies to enhance regional impact.
Through its diverse programs and work alongside campus partners, regional stakeholders,
and local communities, OCED has been able to promote equity, support development initiatives,
and further expand educational opportunities to foster positive change in our region.
