Division of Continuing and Global Education

About Us

Fresno State’s Division of Continuing and Global Education is the oldest Extended Education office at a public university in California. Our Division is perfectly aligned with the California State University (CSU) mission to provide educational ACCESS and OPPORTUNITY to education for the residents of our great State.

We serve as the hub of access and innovation at Fresno State, providing educational opportunities to a wide array of audiences that would not be otherwise served by the institution. We accomplish this purpose by offering a variety of educational programs, including bachelor's and master's degrees, certificates, continuing education and professional development courses, personal enrichment classes, and global education programs such as intensive language development, study abroad, and academic exchanges.

The Division is administered by the Dean for Continuing and Global Education in accordance with applicable Executive Orders, Title V, and the California Code of Regulations. With the support of the Associate Dean,  Assistant Vice President for International Affairs and the Director of Finance Administration and Global Operations via delegated authority to our coordinators and advisors, we are able to reach and serve a comprehensive and diverse student population.

The key to the success of our Division is three fold...

FIRST, we take pride in developing close and trusting relationships with our faculty who are the key to offering high-quality educational programs.

SECOND, we strive to understand the needs of our community and listen to their voices.

THIRD, we engage in meaningful philanthropic activity to ensure rich educational opportunity is not eclipsed by limited economic capacity.
