Assisting Clients and Students with Career Development and Planning
The counseling profession has made great progress in defining the purpose and roles of professional counseling and career counseling. The training program provides professionals with relevant career knowledge and facilitation skills to better assist clients and students in clarifying their vocational goals and obtaining meaningful work. The training is modeled from the National Career Development Association and includes traditional face-to-face classroom instruction, web-based job search and career planning resources, and group interactions using situational case studies. Each participant will receive a resource DVD to enhance their learning experience and a certificate of completion.
Instructor: Adrian Ramirez, Ed.D., has extensive experience in business administration, workforce development, career development and planning, and counseling. Dr. Ramirez has served in a number of roles in private and public sector organizations as well as academic, career counseling and faculty positions for higher education institutions. He received training certification from the National Career Development Association.
