LEE 136 - Teaching Content in Spanish

Bilingual Auth Program

This class section is not open to current degree- or credential-seeking Fresno State students admitted in Spring 2024 or earlier.

L1 pedagogy materials used to teach content in bilingual classrooms. Students will deliver lessons in the Spanish language in bilingual classrooms in local schools under university supervisor. For BAP credential candidates only. Not open to undergraduates.

Josefa Bustos Pelayo

Josie Bustos Pelayo has been an educator for the past 26 years. She is currently an Instructional Coach in English Language Development for Hanford Elementary School District and is a part time Adjunct Faculty for California State University, Fresno in the Department of Literacy, Early, Bilingual and Special Education (LEBSE). Focusing on culturally and linguistically relevant pedagogy, STEAM, dual immersion, second language acquisition, and ethnic studies. Ms. Bustos has a Bachelor in Spanish Literature, with a minor in Education from the University California Santa Cruz, a Master’s in Multilingual-Multicultural Education from California State University, Fresno.
