Certificate for Bilingual School Psychologists

This certificate trains practicing school psychologists to provide more culturally and linguistically appropriate school psychological services to local English Learner (EL) students to address the social justice issues in the education process.

This certification program will train school psychologist practitioners who speak English only but work with multilingual students and those who speak Spanish, Hmong, or Mandarin. Thus, there are two certificates. The monolingual school psychologists will receive the Culturally Linguistically Diverse School Psychologists (CLD SP) Certificate, and those who speak one of the above second languages will receive the Bilingual School Psychologist (BSP) Certificate.
