Lisa Bell

Lisa Bell holds a long-standing connection to Fresno State and the Central Valley community, bringing decades of experience in communications, journalism, and public relations to her role as executive director. She has been part of the Fresno State campus community for the past 10 years, most recently serving as the public information officer, where she built strong relationships with faculty and staff across campus.

Her professional background includes 19 years at The Fresno Bee, where she worked as a reporter, editor, page designer, and member of the Editorial Board, followed by several years in public relations at Granville Homes. Throughout her career, Lisa has demonstrated a talent for storytelling, strategic communication, and fostering meaningful connections within organizations and the broader community.

Lisa is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and community engagement. Even before stepping into her current role, she immersed herself in OLLI by attending classes and connecting with instructors and members, gaining a firsthand appreciation for the program’s impact. She is committed to building programs that not only educate but also strengthen community ties and create meaningful shared experiences.
