International Dog Days (New Student Orientation) will have both a virtual and in person component this fall 2022 semester. Orientation is mandatory for all new students and has multiple components; including Check-In, Live Orientation via Zoom, In-Person Meet and Greet, and CANVAS International Orientation Modules.

All new Spring 2022 students need to complete a mandatory check-in regardless if you are here in the US, planning to come to the US before 02/02/2022, or you wish to take online classes overseas during Spring 2022. The check-in is mandatory by the US government. Not completing the check-in link may result in severe immigration consequences.

Please see the link for "Check-In":

  • Copy of your passport, F1 Visa, I-94, and I-20 (F1 Students)/DS-2019 (J1 Students).
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation.
  • Immunization records. Please refer to Immunization Requirements for a list of required vaccines.
  • Official Transcripts delivered to the International Office Admissions Team by the end of your first semester.  Failure to provide official documents will result in an international hold on your account at the beginning of your second semester.

Submit Immunization Documentation

All incoming students will need to submit proof of immunizations in accordance with CSU Executive Order 803. You must submit proof of your immunizations before you will be allowed to register for your second semester. Please review the Immunization Requirements new students along with the directions on how to upload your Immunization records.

You will need the following documents to complete your health clearance requirements:

  • All immunization records from childhood and adulthood. Please visit the Student Health portal to enter your immunization information and upload your documentation.
  • Any blood test results for Tuberculosis (TB) and chest x-ray reports if you have them.
  • Please complete this TB Blood Test Verification Form and bring supporting documents to the Check-In Days.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your immunization record must be in English or your immunization record with an English translation will be accepted.

If you have questions regarding the form or the university health immunization policy, you may contact the Student Health & Counseling Center.

Fresno State students are REQUIRED to obtain the following vaccines and undergo screening/risk assessment for Tuberculosis:

All incoming students must complete a Tuberculosis risk questionnaire. Incoming students who are at higher risk* for TB infection, as indicated by answering “yes” to any of the screening questions, should undergo either skin or blood testing for TB infection within 1 year of CSU entry.

*Higher risk include travel to or living in South & Central America, Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East; prior positive TB test; or exposure to someone with active TB disease.

If your final destination is the Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), the readily available transportation from the airport to your destination (dormitory/apartment/friend’s house) is taking a taxi (cab) outside the airport, or using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft (about $15-$25).

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be able to offer Fresno State Airport Pickup Service for the Spring 2022 semester. Fall 2022 Airport Pickup Service is still to be determined.

Make sure you have cash (about $30) if you are taking a cab and the address to your destination on you. If you are staying at an apartment, make prior arrangements with the apartment manager to meet you within one or two hours of your arrival at FAT to check you into the apartment.  If you arrive after office hours, you may need to check into a hotel to spend the night.
