Fresno State South Valley Campus Incoming Cohorts
Fresno State's South Valley Integrated Teacher Education Program (South Valley ITEP) Cohort 6 and South Valley Criminology/Law Enforcement Cohort 2 students were admitted this Fall 2023 semester. They are almost half way through with their first semester at the Fresno State South Valley Campus (FSSVC). The FSSVC will support these students during their academic careers and beyond. The South Valley ITEP is an accelerated two-year program that combines the upper-division coursework in Liberal Studies with the Multiple Subjects Credential program at the FSSVC located in Visalia, California. The South Valley Criminology/Law Enforcement program is also an accelerated two-year program at the FSSVC. To participate in one of these cohort-based programs for Fall 2024, you must apply to Fresno State via Cal State Apply between October 1, 2023-November 30, 2023.
Welcome New Bulldogs!
The Fresno State South Valley Campus welcomes incoming Students to the Fall 2023 semester.

Week one is officially done, and the Discovery, Diversity, and Distinction of these new bulldogs has begun. Time for a great semester, Go Dogs!
Fresno State Spring 2023 Art Exhibition
Professor Boley each semester invites the community to gather at the Fresno State South Valley Campus to look at art created by local college students from her Art 102 class. The students shine a light on global issues and how to solve them in their art such as plastic waste, repurposing, and the dangers of drug use.

The Fresno State South Valley Campus is pleased to announce that each Student Assistant will be graduating this Spring 2023 semester. Shown first is Alma Davila, she will be receiving her degree in Liberal Studies from the Kremen School of Education and Human Development. Pictured next is Student Assistant Anthony Leon, who will be graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Criminology Law Enforcement. Shown in the third picture is Student Assistant Jessica Lopez graduating from the South Valley ITEP program cohort 4. She is also pictured with a group of her friends from the ITEP cohort 4 that will be joining her in graduation with the completion of their Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and their Multiple Subject credential. Congratulations graduates, we are so proud of you! You did it! Thank you for your time and commitment to the Fresno State South Valley Campus, we know you will serve the communities just as well!
Fresno State South Valley Campus (FSSVC) Recruits for the South Valley Criminology/Law Enforcement Cohort 2
Transfer students from the South Valley learn more about Fresno State's South Valley Criminology/Law Enforcement program offered through Fresno State's Department of Criminology from Executive Director, Dr. Luz Gonzalez. The South Valley Campus is dedicated to strengthening the communities of the South Valley by providing high quality education to highly motivated students who do not have the means or time to relocate or commute to the main campus in Fresno. The FSSVC Team looks forward to welcoming and supporting the new cohort in their academic journey in August of 2023!
Welcome Back Fresno State South Valley Campus for the Spring 2023 Semester!
After enjoying winter break students return renewed bringing in the new year at the Fresno State South Valley Campus. Criminology Law Enforcement Cohort 1 one kicks off their second semester. Professor Juan Garcia is seen teaching the first Criminology 110 class offered at the South Valley campus below to the left. In the photo to the right is the South Valley Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) cohort 5 group B seen in their Literacies, Language, and Literature class taught by Dr. Goree. These students are on track to receive their baccalaureate next Spring and will be ready to join the South Valley workforce. Go Dogs!
The First South Valley Criminology/Law Enforcement Cohort at Fresno State South Valley Campus
The new Criminology/Law Enforcement Cohort #1 celebrates with a potluck the last day of instruction and begins to prepare for finals week in their first semester at the Fresno State South Valley Campus. Dr. Gonzalez and Professor Hammond joined in on the fun to share a meal, some laughs, and words of encouragement.
Drive-Thru Welcome - August 20, 2020
The Fresno State Visalia Campus held its Drive-Thru to welcome incoming South Valley freshmen and transfer students to Fresno State and the fall 2020 semester. Students were greeted with spirit packets and cheers from President Castro, Director of Athletics Terry Tumey, Dean Gonzalez, Fresno State Associated Student, Inc., and several staff members.
ITEP Drive-Thru Welcome - August 20, 2020
The Fresno State Visalia Campus with Dr. Fred Nelson held a Drive-Thru to offer the South Valley ITEP future teachers science kits, math manipulatives, and the long-awaited WiFi hotspots! The classroom kits were made possible by the Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative and the WiFi Hotspots were provided by Fresno State through the DISCOVERYe device loaner program.
Fresno State RN to BSN Program/South Valley Cohort 1 - July 31, 2020
Fresno State RN to BSN Program/South Valley Cohort 1 attended the Fresno State RN to BSN Program Orientation at the Porter Field House Gym at College of the Sequoias. Administrators and staff members from Fresno State, Fresno State Visalia Campus, and College of the Sequoias welcomed students and introduced them to the program while encouraging them to continue their education into the Master's Degree in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice. The RN to BSN Program builds upon the sound foundation of nursing education. It is designed for associate degree nurses (ADNs) with a registered nursing license to complete upper-division nursing courses that fulfill the BSN degree without repeating lower division nursing coursework.

VUSD College and Career Readiness Program at Fresno State - March 6, 2020
Fresno State Visalia Campus hosted at Fresno State1200 middle school students through Visalia Unified School District’s College & Career Readiness Program. Students toured the campus and spent time talking to Fresno State students about Student Clubs and Organizations. Dean Gonzalez met with the students and encouraged them to pursue higher education.

Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) Reception - September 2019
This fall 2019, we are excited to welcome the second cohort of the Integrated Teacher Education Program. A recognition reception hosted on September 6, 2019, at the Tulare County Office of Education, awarded twelve students with $1,000 scholarships and ten students also received iPads with funding from the Central Mother Lode Regional Consortium. Among the ITEP students and their families, in attendance at the reception were Tim Hire, County Superintendent, Brent Calvin, College of the Sequoias President, Claudia Lourido-Habib, Porterville College President, and guests from the community college partnerships.
Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) Reception - August 2018
August 23, 2018, was a very special day for Fresno State Visalia Campus (FSVC) students in the South Valley Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP). On that day, they began the first classes on their pathway to becoming teachers by May 2020. Students in the first cohort of this accelerated program were recognized at a special ITEP Welcome Celebration at the FSVC). At this reception, ITEP students met with guests from local school districts, community colleges, and community supporters of the South Valley Education Initiative that brought this innovative Bachelor of Arts degree and Teaching Credential programs to the FSVC. With special funding from the Central Mother Lode Regional Consortium, ten students received an iPad and an additional thirteen students were awarded $1,000 scholarships.
