• The budget listed above assumes enrollment in 12 units each semester (24 units total for the academic year) for undergraduates and 9 units each semester (18 units total for the academic year) for graduates.
• All CSU-listed fees are regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees. 
• Living expenses are estimates only and are paid separately.

Tuition

For current non-resident fees, see Fresno State's tuition fee schedule. All listed fees are estimates and CSU reserves the right to increase or modify them, even after charges or payments are made, until instruction begins for a given term. Changes to mandatory system-wide fees follow the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Education Code §66028–66028.6).

Health Insurance

As a condition of your enrollment at Fresno State, all international students MUST purchase the pre-approved insurance policy offered by UnitedHealthcare. Otherwise, there will be a hold on your student portal, preventing you from enrolling in classes (please click here to purchase health insurance). Sponsored students are not required to enroll in health insurance, but should still purchase travel insurance only for the period that they will be in the United States, which is not covered by the effective dates of the policy listed above.

Important

• Books and living expenses are estimates only,
• Do NOT bring one combined check for all expenses, because they are to be paid separately (insurance, fees/tuition, housing, books, etc.),
• If you plan to bring dependents with you to the United States, the financial statement required as part of your application to California State University, Fresno must show an additional $12,000/year for each dependent. Please note that the spouse and children are the only dependents allowed.
