How to Apply

Applications

The AEI accepts walk-in, online, email, or mailed applications. Emailed applications should be sent to aei-admin@mail.fresnostate.edu. Applications are considered complete once all supporting documents and fees listed on page 1 of the application are submitted, please do not send a partial application. You will be contacted soon after we receive your paperwork.

How to Apply
  1. Submit the Paper Application. To avoid errors, please type your information in the fillable form.  
  2. Pay the $70 USD (nonrefundable) Application Fee. This is payable online via Flywire or by check, money order, or bank draft payable to "California State University, Fresno Foundation".
  3. English Placement Exam – If you do not have a placement exam score, you can complete an iTEP Snapshot placement exam for $24 by clicking HERE. We also accept scores from CEFR, CLB, Oxford, Michigan, iTEP, IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PBT or TOEIC.
  4. Transcripts – please provide high school and/or University transcripts translated into English.
  5. Bank statement – current sponsor’s bank statement in English indicating that there are enough funds, in dollars, to cover the estimated expenses or sponsor letter for government-sponsored students. Estimated expenses are listed on page 3 of this document.
  6. Passport – clear copies of pages that show your name, passport number, issue date, expiration date, birth date and photo. If applicable, this includes passports of all dependents.
