Uruguay: South America's Hidden Gem

Nestled in between Argentina and Brazil, with coastlines along both the Atlantic Ocean and the Rio de la Plata, this often-overlooked Latin American country is South America's best-kept secret. Come learn about the food, wine, fútbol, and history of one of the continent's most socially-advanced states from our very own Dr. Everett A. Vieira III, who recently returned from teaching a USAC course in Montevideo this past Summer. Those in attendance will also get to try some Uruguayo treats!

Spring 2025

International Coffee Hour has brought an important component of internationalization to Fresno State for decades. We have found ourselves at a juncture of exploring new ways of bringing vigor and momentum to international dialogues of lived-experiences across the globe. For the Spring 2025 semester, we are reconsidering  innovative ways to provide venues and platforms for international discourse that shares different perspectives and common values.

International Coffee Hour Overview

International Coffee Hour provides a venue to highlight the diversity and wide range of cultures represented at Fresno State while providing students with opportunities for cross-cultural engagement. ICH has been sharing a truly global perspective with both Fresno State and the local Fresno community for over 32 years. It provides an opportunity to share international experiences and highlight campus resources and programs while enriching the classroom experience. ICH engages students in presentations, competitions, panel discussions, and cultural performances in a welcoming environment where they can meet people from around the globe, enjoy and engage in cross-cultural learning. Previously a weekly affair, this year, ISA has taken the reins to organize these captivating gatherings. A monthly celebration of diversity, unity and the love of coffee awaits you!
