Assistant Vice President and Senior International Officer

Eddie serves as California State University, Fresno’s Senior International Officer. In this role, he oversees international student admissions and support, and the development of Fresno State’s forthcoming international strategic plan.

Previously, Eddie served as Assistant Dean at San Diego State University (SDSU) Global Campus and Berkeley Extension, respectively. He's also led international initiatives at the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and international programs at the Ohlone Community College District.

Eddie is humbled and honored to lead Fresno State’s global engagement activity and to support our students, staff, and faculty.

International Marketing and Recruitment Specialist

Andrea Alatorre serves as an International Marketing and Recruitment Specialist at Fresno State’s International Office, where she supports outreach efforts and helps connect prospective students with opportunities at the university. She brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, along with a strong background in customer service and office management from the private sector. A Fresno native, Andrea has deep roots in the Bulldog community. She holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Fresno State, combining her academic training with extensive professional experience to support international student recruitment and engagement.

Salwa Sidi Ammi | E-mail

International Operations Analyst

Salwa holds a Master's degree in International Studies & Diplomacy from Al Akhawayn University in Morocco and was an international student herself, having participated in an exchange program at Westminster University in London. She has considerable experience in administrative and operational support, as well as in international affairs, having served as a Political Counselor and later a Diplomat representing Morocco in Sweden.

Thanks to her previous tenure as both a professional and a volunteer Grant Writer, Salwa has extensive experience working with and serving multicultural communities, including ethnic minorities, people of color, immigrants, and refugees. She also speaks four languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, and French.

Salwa is thrilled to join the International Office and CGE and help provide a welcoming and enriching learning experience for all international students at Fresno State!

Coordinator of International Admissions and Recruitment

Danny serves as the International Admissions Lead for prospective freshman, undergraduate transfer and graduate students. Since 2000, he has managed in scholarships and recruitment, international admissions, F and J visa advising, programming and study abroad. A native of Kansas City and Taipei, Danny was in the foreign services for two years. He has an extensive background in intercultural communication.

International Admissions and Recruitment Specialist

Roseann Rodriguez serves as an International Admissions and Recruitment Specialist.  She has worked on the Fresno State campus for about 20 years and brings over 15 years of experience in admissions, campus policies, major and degree requirements.  She has participated in the implementation of several campus initiatives associated with improving student success.  She earned a master’s degree in Counseling and Student Services from Fresno State in 2012.  She is excited about working with international students and assisting them in their transition to the university and helping them to pursue their educational and professional goals at Fresno State.

International Admissions Specialist

Karina Yontomo serves as the new International Office Admissions Specialist. Karina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Fresno State. Karina also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts-American Sign Language and an Associate's Degree in American Sign Language Studies. Mrs. Yontomo is excited to join the Fresno State International Office and is eager to improve the lives of the university's international students.

International Admissions Specialist

Cecilia Paredes serves as the new International Admission Specialist. She has experience in the student services field as she served most recently as an Administrative Assistant at Fresno State, which is where her interest sparked in working in the higher education field. Mrs. Paredes is delighted to join the International Office and support international students with their educational journey at Fresno State. She attended Fresno State and earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science.

Coordinator of International Student and Scholar Advising Services

Jasmine serves as an International Student and Scholar Advisor. She brings to Fresno State a unique experience working as an advisor for universities in both China and the United States. This career background provides her with a distinct understanding of the transitional issues international students experience.  With her professionalism and passion for international education, Jasmine has an established record of being a supportive and dedicated international student advisor who is committed to providing services that ensure international students are successful and enjoy their experience at Fresno State. Jasmine holds a master's degree in Social Psychology.
