Why did you choose Fresno State?
Fresno State is affiliated with the university I went to in Japan, and Fresno State
is accessible.
What’s the best thing about Fresno State?
Fresno State is very accessible and has a lot of diversities. Fresno State is open
to everyone, which is very inclusive and comfortable for me as an international student.
Also, a wide variety of school events can be enjoyed every semester!!
What are your favorite campus activities?
Live Band Karaoke, Vintage Day, and Events that provide us food (daytime, final week,
etc.) I recommend the Live Band Karaoke. It is held once a year during homecoming
and is fun and exciting!
What are your favorite local activities?
Art Hop, and 559 K-pop district. Art Hop features art exhibits, live bands, and food
trucks once a month in downtown Fresno. The 559 K-pop district is a great place for
people who like to dance and music, as the event is very lively with K-pop dance performances
and other activities.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Fresno, California?
In the winter, I like to visit Christmas tree lanes. The Christmas atmosphere in the
U.S. is a little different from that in Japan, so I enjoy the many decorations, lights,
and atmosphere in the Christmas tree lanes. At the Fresno Fair, I enjoy many rides
and food!
What are your plans after you graduate?
After my graduation, I plan to find a job in the U.S. related to my major and build
my experience.
Advice for new students?
If you don’t do everything you want to do, you will regret it! :)
