Why did you choose Fresno State?
I chose Fresno State because of the diverse environment and plethora of business/work opportunities in the valley. Over time, I crossed paths with a lot of Fresno State alums who went on to have very successful careers out of Fresno State in a variety of fields and that became a no brainer for me in choosing Fresno State.

What’s the best thing about Fresno State?
The best part about Fresno State is the amount of services offered to its students whether academically or non-academically. Regardless of your student status, you’ll always find helpful people at every step of your journey at Fresno State.

What are your favorite campus activities?
My favorite activity would be watching the home games at the bulldog stadium. I also like to spend time doing assignments on campus at the newly built Resnick Student union. Pro tip: If you feel stressed, the bowling alley in the university student union is a great way to destress!

What are your favorite local activities?
If you’re a fan of steak like me, do try DogHouse grill right across the street. Their tri-tip steak sandwich is out of this world. I also love taking road trips and exploring hidden gems across the golden state. Pro tip: always carry your Fresno State ID, a lot of retailers offer student discounts if you ask them. You can get up to 15% off by just showing them your Fresno State ID.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Fresno, California?
I am a tutor for the Fresno State’s Upward Bound Program and I spend a lot of time tutoring and helping high school students achieve academic success, something I’ve grown very fond of lately and love doing.

What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan to start my own business after I graduate. My family has been involved in the Almond industry for many years and I plan to expand our operations to the valley. Eat almonds, they’re good for you!

Advice for new students?
Take one step at a time. We ourselves have been through this overwhelming feeling you will experience during the first few days of your arrival but that’s why we’re here to help you using our own past experiences. Never hesitate to ask for help!
