Why did you choose Fresno State?
I chose Fresno State because of its ideal location. Smack in the middle of the Central Valley and just two to three hours away from San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles, it is a great place to study away from the hubbub of city life but near enough to make weekend trips with friends for a great getaway.

What’s the best thing about Fresno State?
I absolutely love the campus, especially during spring. It’s honestly so beautiful. One of the things that have really made me feel like I made a great decision about studying here is the faculty and staff. Everyone is extremely helpful and engaging.

What are your favorite campus activities?
One of the things that make me feel like a true Bulldog is going to sports games, particularly football and basketball. I also love taking part in clubs and societies, particularly the International Student Organization and Fresno State’s Chapter of PRSSA.

What are your favorite local activities?
My favorite local activities are to take a bus from Fresno State right down to Fashion Fair or River Park with friends to either walk around, shop, or eat some good food.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Fresno, California?
Fresno has a lot of parks. I loved going to them to have a small picnic or driving up to either Millerton Lake or Shaver Lake for a short break from university life.

What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan to work in the public relations industry, particularly at a company that focuses on event management.

Advice for new students?
I would say the first step is to always make friends. The first day of orientation and that first week is very ideal to meet people who are more or less in the same spot as you are. So, definitely make sure to meet new people with different cultures and from different countries. Being a part of clubs and organizations helps with that. Maintain a good relationship with your professors, they’re so helpful. Also, feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions. Enjoy the whole college experience as much as you can!
