The Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State, via its Small Business
University program, launched the Fresno State Women’s Entrepreneur Center in the fall
of 2022. The Women’s Entrepreneur Center was established to fill gaps in technical
assistance for small businesses owned by women in the Central Valley. The Women’s
Entrepreneur Center, or WE Center as it is known, is designed to assist women across
the central valley who want to expand or begin their entrepreneurial careers. The
WE Center considers the challenges of growing a small business and therefore provides
the necessary tools to build a reliable foundation for growth. The WE Center is staffed
by bilingual business specialists who understand how to launch and help expand a business.
