Camarena Health has established a testing area for COVID-19 infection outside of the
location at 344 E. 6th Street in Madera. The outdoor testing facility is available
Monday through Friday for individuals who meet the symptomatic criteria and/or have
traveled outside Madera County. Hours are currently 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm and will
be adjusted as needed. If you have symptoms and have not been pre-screened and/or
advised by one of our providers for testing, please call ahead before going to the

Camarena Health screening criteria includes fever, cough/shortness of breath, and
any travel outside of Madera County. Another qualifying factor includes contact with
an individual known to be infected with Coronavirus. A patient must meet criteria
to be screened for COVID-19. You will be screened by our clinical team to determine
testing or other treatment for illness.

With QuestDirect, an individual can request the test and purchase it online. Each
test request is reviewed and, if appropriate, an order for testing is issued by a
licensed physician. Individuals have the opportunity to speak with a licensed physician
about their results.
After purchasing the service online, an individual will be prompted to schedule an
appointment for a blood draw at one of the 2,200 patient service centers Quest Diagnostics
operates around the United States. For the safety of our patients and employees, individuals
must not have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 10 days; wear a face mask;
and pass a contact-less temperature check.

Patients referred for testing by Madera County Public Health or their community provider
are registered by phone and the swab test is taken while the patient remains in their
vehicle. The drive up COVID-19 screening and testing process protects the safety of
the healthcare workforce and patients while preserving valuable personal protective
equipment (PPE).
Patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, without a Public Health Order or a referral
for testing from their community provider, may be screened from their home by phoning
RapidCare, 559-675-2688 and registering for a virtual or telemedicine visit.
