About Us

The Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State embodies a regional perspective centered on connectivity.

Our office serves as a pivotal link, forging connections between the University and the diverse communities across the eight counties of the San Joaquin Valley. We facilitate access to Fresno State's extensive resources, offering valuable data, conducting impactful research, providing industry insights, and fostering connections to collaborators, investors, researchers, affiliates, and emerging markets within the community.

We administer the California Partnership for the San Joaquin ValleySan Joaquin Valley Rural Development Center, Fresno State Connect Initiative, EDA University Center, Small Business University, Parent University, Fresno State REFRESH, Valley Ag Connect, Veterans Entrepreneur Center, Women's Entrepreneur Center, San Joaquin Valley Regional Broadband Consortium, SmartFarm University, and the Community and Regional Planning Center located on the Fresno State campus.

We have a history of collaborating with numerous partners on the Fresno State campus, in Fresno and its surrounding communities, and across the San Joaquin Valley. Each partner is committed to this region and contributes to aligning economic development strategies and maximizing regional impact.

Our partners are both public and private sector and for-profit and nonprofit. Click on Partners for the full list of community partners and university partners.

Our university is Fresno State. Our community is Fresno and the expanse of the San Joaquin Valley.

We would appreciate the opportunity to introduce ourselves in person and discuss how Fresno State can connect with your organization.
