Certificate Award in Professional Meeting and Event Planning

(dates to be announced)

This class will be offered as a hybrid, at the Fresno State campus and Zoom. Participants will receive detailed information via email.

The Certificate Award in Professional Meeting and Event Planning is intended for students and professionals who desire to enter this fast-growing and exciting industry. No experience or prerequisites required. If you have questions and/or concerns, please contact David Anderson, CMP, david@eventivegroup.com

This program is built on the tenants of the certification in meeting planning (CMP) administered by the Events Industry Council.  It is designed for anyone, from students to current planning professionals, who seeks to prepare to take the CMP exam, fine-tune skills and methods, or get a running start to become a notable candidate for job applications.  You will learn about meeting and event planning from a 23-year veteran and working professional.

A certificate of completion will be granted to those individuals who attend and complete the four-week course. The program will provide digital handouts that can be printed out or used digitally during class. These handouts are included with your registration fees.

For those interested in applying for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) professional designation, this course is offered for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Nationally recognized standards govern attendance requirements to earn CEU credit. A permanent record of attendance is established and students may obtain a copy of their transcripts by calling 559.278.0333. For more information about CMP, eligibility requirements click here.
